CChildren’s Sunday School

Welcome to the Cordata Kids Clubhouse
Our curriculum immerses kids and preschoolers in the gospel through every story, theological concept, and call to mission from Genesis to Revelation. Ultimately, the gospel message changes everything; heart transformation can only take place when a child experiences the gospel. Through The Gospel Project® for Kids curriculum, kids and preschoolers will understand the Bible is not just a collection of stories, but one unified story—God’s story of redemption.
Kids Clubhouse meets every Sunday

November
We are starting Volume 4 of our Gospel Project 4 Kids curriculum: FOOLISHNESS AND WISDOM
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom (Proverbs 9:10a). The Israelites, however, let their fear of nearby nations control their hearts. God granted their foolish desire for an earthly king. The fulfillment of this request would impact the generations to come.
This November will learn how Isreal got King Saul.
Foolishly, God’s people begged for a king like the nations around them. Though Israel rejected God as their king, God mercifully warned them and gave them the king they desired—King Saul. However, despite Saul’s regal appearance, his foolish disobedience led to God’s rejection of him as king. Instead, God replaced him with a man after His own heart to rule His people.
BIG PICTURE QUESTION: Who is our King?
Answer: Jesus is our King forever, and He rules over the world.
KEY PASSAGE: Psalm 103:19
NOVEMBER LESONS:
- The Israelites Wanted a King (1 Samuel 8–10)
- Saul Rescued Israel (1 Samuel 11–13)
- Saul Disobeyed God (1 Samuel 14–15)
- Samuel Anointed David (1 Samuel 16)
- David Played for Saul (1 Samuel 16)
October
“God Sees and Hears” unit 9.
I can’t think of a better theme for our current times. These days we can easily feel God is distant and evil is getting a stronghold. However, God was in total control then and certainly is now. Regardless of sin patterns and disobedience, Sunday Clubhouse kid will learn that God continued to see His people and hear their requests and desires. God’s provision will be seen through His gifts of a kinsman redeemer for Ruth’s family, a son with a prophetic calling for Hannah, and freedom and protection for the Israelites from the Philistines. God’s plan remained steadfast, despite humanity’s brokenness. In this broken world in these current challenging times, it will be a comfort to study these Bible stories and have faith in God’s sovereign plan.
BIG PICTURE QUESTION: How does God care for His creation?
Answer: God loves and rules over His according to His perfect plan.
KEY PASSAGE: Philippians 4:19
OCTOBER LESSONS:
- The Story of Ruth (Ruth),
- Samuel Was Born and Called (1 Samuel 1–3)
- The Ark Was Captured (1 Samuel4–6)
- Freedom from the Philistines (1 Samuel 7)
September
We faced many victories with Joshua in the lead in July! Now we move into the time of Judges. We begin unit 8 “God is Gracious” in September. Lessons will cover Israel’s rebellion and attacks from neighboring tribes. Kids will see how God was gracious and raised up judges who would rescue His people from their enemies. While these judges only provided temporary help, they reminded God’s people that He would one day provide a perfect Judge to rescue His people from the power of sin.
BIG PICTURE QUESTION: What is repentance?
Answer: Repentance is turning away from sin and turning to Jesus.
KEY PASSAGE: 2 Chronicles 7:14
SEPTEMBER LESSONS:
- First Judges (Judges 3)
- Deborah Led Israel (Judges 4–5)
- Gideon Led Israel (Judges 6–8)
- Samson andthe Philistines (Judges 13–16)
