Outdoor Work Party
~ Saturday, May 3rd
from 9a-Noon ~


Plan to join us for our next cleanup of the season on Saturday, May 3rd from 9a-noon. If you have the following, please bring rakes, tarps, 5-gallon buckets, weeding tools, gloves etc. Remember our motto: “many hands make light work”.  Sign up in the foyer so we have an idea how many will attend.                         Outdoor Cleanup
      ~ Saturday, April 5th from 9a-Noon ~
Plan to join us for our first Spring cleanup of the season as we get our outside area ready for Easter.  April th is the date from 9a to Noon. If the weather is adverse, we will reschedule for a week later.  If you have the following please bring rakes, tarps, 5 gallon buckets, weeding tools, gloves etc.  Remember our motto: “many hands make light work.”  Sign up in the foyer so we have an idea how many will attend.  Any questions contact Roger DeSpain or Margaret Rudy.

 

Save the date for the first Together Tuesday Dinner of 2025 on March 11th at 5:30p. Join us for a dinner and program featuring Ken and Karen Gasper’s “Travels in London, Oxford, and Bavaria.” Invite your friends! Please make a reservation in the foyer so we can plan accordingly. Dinner is $7/per person.

CPC has some great kids on Sunday mornings and at Clubs 4 Kids during the week! We like to help them feel special, valued, and appreciated through our annual “Caring Bags” season. Be sure to drop an encouraging note, share a special scripture, or add a piece of candy or a cute “Valentine” for our young friends in their bags on the red cart in the foyer. The Caring bags will be presented to the kids on Sunday, February 23rd and Thursday, February 27th. A list of names and suggested ways to pray for “our” kids can be found on the information table.

Cookie Decorating Party
Saturday, December 21st from 1-3p

Join the fun of decorating cookies in preparation for our fellowship time before the Christmas Eve Service. Please sign up in the foyer.  If you have questions or can help, please contact Bonnie at bonnieh@cordatachurch.org.

Cordata Church is once again participating in this missional outreach program. Checkout the display in the foyer for more information. 

   

Fun for everyone! We have a dynamic group of neighborhood children and teens excited for the fall Open Gym and we would love to see you there too. Join us for a time of pickleball, hoops, and table games. Family friendly/intergenerational table games will also be available or bring one to share! This is a fantastic opportunity to engage with each other, make connections, and build relationships with our CPC family, friends, and neighbors!

Let’s Keep our recipe collection and variety growing! There is a sign-up sheet in the foyer.

CPC is helping with a winter coat drive and will be collecting coats up to October 6th.  There is a box in the foyer under the information table for donations.  Later in October the coats will be distributed to needy folks by the Interfaith-Coalition in Bellingham.  The coats should be “in-great-condition” or brand new.

Together Tuesday ~ September 17th at 5:30p

The date is set for a September 17th Together Tuesday evening dinner featuring a travel presentation, “A Visual Tour of the Isles of Shoals” (off the coast of New Hampshire), by Carol White, You won’t want to miss this first program of the fall, so mark your calendars and look for more information to come. Please make a reservation in the foyer or contact the church office. The dinner will be $7 per person.

Early Fall Outdoor Work Party

Although there are many games available, popular games are Mexican Train Dominoes, Rummikub, and Scrabble.  However, if you have another favorite game, we urge you to bring it.  We will stay after fellowship in the foyer to eat a snack/lunch, then play games. Here’s how it goes:  Sign up in the foyer at the information table with your name and phone number or call the church office 360.733.8860. The fellowship committee will place you into a small group for lunch and will contact you with the information.

Our next outdoor cleanup is scheduled for July 20th from 9am until 12 noon.  Please bring rakes, buckets, tarps, pruning shears & loppers etc.  We had to cancel our April 27th cleanup due to adverse weather and rain, so this cleanup is very important, and we have lots to do.  Please plan to join us.  Many hands make light work! A sign up sheet is in the foyer to help us organize our plans.

Sign up to be part of a lunch bunch and enjoy conversation over lunch at a nearby restaurant. Don’t know anyone well enough to ask them to lunch with you? That’s the point!! Here’s how it goes:  Sign up in the foyer at the information table with your name and phone number. The fellowship committee will place you into a small group for lunch and will contact you with the information.

Our first Table Game Day was successful, and everyone would like for you to join us! Please stay and enjoy the extended time of fellowship with conversations, games, and fun! Cold cuts, crackers, and coffee will be provided. You may also bring your own lunch. We will stay after fellowship in the foyer to eat a snack/lunch, then play games.

 

 

 

Our Together Tuesday May dinner and program will feature the Spinnaker Trombones, including or very own Bob Hiorns. You can reserve a spot by making a reservation at the sign-up table in the foyer or by calling the church office at 306.733.8860.

 

 

 

To extend our coffee fellowship time into the afternoon, we are going to have a Table Game Day.  Cold cuts, crackers, and coffee will be provided, but you are encouraged to bring something to share (chips, salsa, etc.) or a sack lunch.  We will stay after fellowship in the foyer to eat lunch, then play games. Although we will have some games available (Rummikub, Mexican Train Dominoes, etc.), you are encouraged to bring your favorite game to play. Join us on Sunday, April 28th, after worship and coffee fellowship. 

 

 

 

Join us in hosting the Bellingham High School swing choir, the Showstoppers, at our next Together Tuesday dinner April 9th at 5:30. Their program will be a mix of contemporary classical choral music mixed with some a cappella and show choir tunes. This group of 19 talented singers, directed by teacher Connie Campbell, is always a highlight for our year.  Please reserve by signing up at the sign-up table in the foyer.

 

 

  
Reservations sign up is now available in the foyer for the March 12th Together Tuesday dinner.  Featured speaker will be Natalie Finkbonner, executive director of Child Evangelism Fellowship.  Dinner starts at 5:30 and the cost is $6 per person.  We extend a special invitation to newcomers and neighborhood friends.  Don’t miss this time of fellowship around the tables!  

 

 

  

Please join us for painting a classroom Wednesday, March 6 at 10am.  Bring paint brushes, rollers, paint trays if you have them.  We will be painting the large youth/children classroom and could use your help.
